Jason Beresford

Inspired by a childhood full of adventure, CJ Busby’s books are fantasy tales, full of magic, intrigue and exciting exploits. Her latest book, Deep Amber has been shortlisted for the Stockton Book Award.

York-based Anneliese Emmans Dean is a poet, performer and photographer and the author of Buzzing!, a Carnegie Medal longlisted book which mixes ‘edu-taining’ poetry with science to explore the world of minibeasts outside our back door in glorious detail. Anneliese offers a mutimedia Buzzing! show as well as a range of poetry and photography workshops.


Teresa FlavinimageTeresa Flavin

American-born author and illustrator Teresa Flavin drew on the romance and mystery of Scotland to create The Blackhope Enigma trilogy. Now based in Leeds, the dramatic scenery of the North Yorkshire Moors provided the perfect setting for her forthcoming teen novel, Jet Black Heart. Having also written a book for younger readers, Teresa offers writing and illustration sessions for children ranging from Year 1 to Year 8.

Kate Pankhurst

Kate began her career illustrating books for high-profile children’s writers, including Judy Blume, Steve Hartley and Julia Jarman before becoming a published author herself. She is the author/illustrator of the popular Mariella Mystery series, published by Orion Children’s Books. The latest book in the series, The Spaghetti Yeti will be published in summer 2014.

Andy Seed

Yorkshire-based Andy Seed is a veteran of school visits and The Silly Book of Side-Splitting Stuff won the 2015 Blue Peter Book Award in the ‘Best Book With Facts’ category. . He offers a variety of workshops – sometimes with other authors – and delivers informative, interactive and highly entertaining sessions.
